Vocabulary related to workplace dynamics and challenges

  1. Interruptions — Events that halt progress temporarily.
    “Her deep focus on the project was disrupted by frequent interruptions from phone calls.”
  2. No big deal — Something not important or significant.
    “He shrugged off the mistake in his presentation, considering it no big deal.”
  3. A real cost — Significant or large expenses or consequences.
    “The new business venture came with a real cost, both financially and in time spent.”
  4. The constant creep — Gradual and unnoticed expansion beyond limits.
    “She didn’t notice the constant creep of responsibilities until her workload had doubled.”
  5. Undermine— Weaken or damage something, often subtly.
    “Spreading rumors about the leader served to undermine the team’s confidence in the project.”
  6. Recruited — Enlisted or gained as a member.

  7. Meaningful — Emotionally or personally significant.
